Perhaps one of the biggest heartbreaks of the COVID-19 era is having to postpone your wedding. As hard as it was to put your nuptials on hold, the good news is that life is beginning to return as we know it. And with it; your enthusiasm to tie the knot. If you are scrambling to redo or re-adjust your arrangements; you are not alone.
Many brides and grooms are finding themselves back to square one. That might be presenting some significant challenges to rebooking your talent, like musicians and photographers. But don’t get discouraged, the best is yet to come! Take these steps to book one of the most talented wedding musicians in Charleston, SC.
Reach out ASAP
The key to getting back on track is reaching out to work with me on finding a new date. It might be a bit overwhelming to try to find a date that works with all the vendors you have already chosen. But now is the time to take a deep breath and not give up. As daunting as it might feel, my mission is to find the right date to accommodate your needs. The quicker we get to work to make an alternate arrangement, the more options you will have to work with.
Try to Coordinate by Prioritizing
To avoid the back and forth of trying to coordinate all of your vendors on the same day, choose the professionals that are very important to you. As hard as it is to consider, you might not be able to get back all that you already planned. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have it all!
Try to prioritize those things that will make your special day, special, and work around the core vendors that mean the most. If I am one of them, I will work as diligently and as flexibly as I possibly can. And I am honored that you are making exceptions to make sure I am there to celebrate your “I do’s”.
Work With Vendors You’ve Given Deposits to
You’ve no doubt had to give a significant amount of your budget for a downpayment to hold your special wedding date. Fear not, reputable vendors will do whatever they can to find a date that works for you.
And if they can’t, they should be willing to refund your deposit. Don’t just assume that you are out of the money you have spent if schedules aren’t coordinating well. Take the time to work with vendors to find a happy medium, when possible. After all, as wedding vendors, we want the best for our brides and grooms, not to make things harder.
Be Patient – We are all in This Together
Try to be patient when replanning your wedding. I understand your frustration – countless others are going through what you are, although that might not make it better. COVID-19 put a halt on everyone’s life, quite arguably, not as devastating as those who were joyfully anticipating celebrating their new life together.
But remember, we are all struggling together to try to find the best solution to make all the couples whose dreams were put on hold a reality. In the end, we are all in this together and our goals are all the same, to celebrate your special day just as special as it was planned for from the start. It might be a different date, but your commitment and love have not changed.
Let me be the first to apologize that your special day was turned upside down by the events of COVID-19. Your hard work will not go to waste because my mission is to do everything humanly possible to get your wedding back on and on track.
Contact me today so that we can work together to find a date, an even better date, for you and your loved one to commit to one another, walk down the aisle, and say “I do”. It will be a day you will never truly never forget. It might take a little extra work, but if you take a deep breath, it will work!
